2. Scope
These terms apply to all orders, deliveries and services made through the Fichu.eu online shop. By placing an order, customers agree to these terms.
3. Offer and products
The products shown in the online shop are a non-binding presentation of our range.
As many products are one-of-a-kind pieces or limited vintage goods, availability can change at short notice.
Colours may differ between product images and the actual goods due to differences in screen rendering.
4. About our vintage fabrics
Our fabrics are originals from the years 1920–1980. As stored vintage goods, they may show small irregularities, storage marks or minimal signs of wear. This is not a defect but part of their history and character.
Every order is carefully checked before it leaves our premises.
Vintage fabrics are not newly manufactured industrial goods. Age-related characteristics, slight colour changes or minimal irregularities are not grounds for complaint.
5. Prices
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). For customers in the EU, the United Kingdom and the USA, prices are displayed and charged in the local currency (converted by Shopify). Fabrics are sold by the running metre; the stated price is per metre, available from 0.5 m in steps of 0.1 m.
Prices are subject to change; errors excepted.
Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout.
6. Ordering and conclusion of contract
The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer.
By submitting an order, customers make a binding offer to purchase the selected products.
The purchase contract is concluded once an order confirmation has been sent by email.
7. Payment terms
Payment is made using the payment methods offered in the Shopify checkout. Depending on availability, these may include:
- credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay
- TWINT
- PayPal
- other payment methods offered at checkout
The charge is made immediately upon completion of the order.
8. Shipping and delivery
Delivery is made to the shipping address provided by the customer.
Delivery times may vary depending on the product, shipping method and destination country. Shipping costs, delivery countries and delivery times are described on the "Shipping" page.
For deliveries outside Switzerland, customs duties, import charges and taxes of the destination country may apply. These are not included in the purchase price and are payable by the recipient.
Fichu endeavours to process orders quickly and to pack them carefully.
Should a product be unavailable, the customer will be informed.
9. Retention of title
The goods remain the property of Fichu until full payment has been received.
10. Returns and withdrawal
As most items are one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, there is generally no right to return or exchange.
Should an item arrive damaged or be delivered incorrectly, please contact us within 5 days of receiving the goods.
Enquiries should be sent to info@fichu.eu.
Details, and the withdrawal notice for customers resident in the EU, are described on the "Refund policy" page.
11. Liability
Fichu is liable only for damage resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty.
No liability is accepted for indirect damage, consequential damage or loss of profit.
12. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy on Fichu.eu.
13. Applicable law
Swiss law applies exclusively.
The place of jurisdiction is Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise.
14. Final provisions
Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
Fichu reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
The version published at the time of the order applies.
